Sometimes, things aren’t what they seem. This is especially true when it comes to sexual acting out. When he’s had an affair, people might say it’s because “she wasn’t giving him enough sex” or “that’s just the way he is.”   

Neither is true.   

Sexual integrity issues often stem from running from negative emotions. He may try to escape with affairs, pornography, or other forms of sexually acting out because he hasn’t learned how to deal with intense emotions.   

Simply telling someone to “Just Say No” isn’t enough to stop unwanted and destructive behaviors. He needs to learn how to manage the emotions that drive these behaviors in the first place.
